PyeongChang 2018 Winter Paralympics have opened up entries for students to become Samsung Paralympic Reporters at the Games. Reporters will create video reports from the Paralympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, and will be given exclusive access to do so. Three winners will receive an expenses paid trip by the International Paralympic Committee to PyeongChang (travel, accommodation, meals and the provision of equipment during the Games); a special Samsung goodie pack and exposure in the build-up and during PyeongChang 2018. They must be available between 07-18 March 2018.
Entering the competition
Students who are interested are asked to submit a visually compelling two minute video, highlighting their reporting abilities on the subject of Do What You Can’t and five things they’d like to report on during the Games to be in with the chance of winning. The deadline for entries is 7 January 2018, 11:59pm (CET) and all entries should be submitted in English, French, Chinese, Korean or Japanese. A panel of judges from the IPC will then draw up a shortlist of participants whose reporting skills will be tested at the next stage – by live interviewing athletes online. The winning reporters will be announced early February.
