You should have experience in the sport (either as a player or coach). A coaching qualification is desirable, but not essential, though you need to have good leadership skills, be organised and passionate about the sport and able to attend the sessions (weekly if possible, min once a fortnight)

Coaching Opportunities – Qualitas Sport

Qualitas Sports Coaching is seeking to employ dynamic, enthusiastic and committed sports coaches on a part time and full time basis to deliver a range of sports sessions in primary and secondary schools across Sheffield, Chesterfield and Derbyshire.

You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of fun based sporting activities including curricular and extra-curricular sessions, working and preparing school events from the company’s 5E’s schemes of work.  You will also have the opportunity to be part of our school holiday programmes based in the Sheffield and Chesterfield area outside of term time.

You must have a minimum NGB Level 1/2 coaching qualification and a passion to work within the sport and education sector.  Access to your own car is not essential however, this would benefit the applicant.  You must be highly motivated and organised to fulfil this role.

Volunteer Coordinator (voluntary position), Yorkshire Cricket Foundation

As the work of the Foundation grows, the role of volunteers has become increasingly important, with volunteers making up a large proportion of the YCF team at events across the cricket season. In 2018, we would like to professionalise our offering to volunteers and provide different opportunities throughout each department of Yorkshire Cricket.

Knowledge and experience of cricket is not essential, however a willingness to understand the departments within the club is necessary.

The post is based at Emerald Headingley Stadium and requires one day a week in the office. During busier periods, this will increase with the inclusion of certain match days across the cricket season.

Health and Wellbeing Coach, South Yorks Housing Association

The Programme; Building Better Opportunities – Sheffield City Region (BBO SCR) is an integrated, person-centred employment service for people with physical and mental health conditions, learning disabilities and complex needs. It’s based on Individual Placement Support, a “place then train” approach that’s shown to be twice as effective as traditional approaches.

The programme is being delivered over a two-year period and involves working with voluntary, community and private sector organisations in delivering objectives that have been set within their vision & strategy. Working Hours: 37 hours per week including some evenings and weekends
