Sport England Summer Internships – paid

This internship programme is an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable experience in the sport sector. Whether you’re interested in grants management, research, legal services or volunteering, internships offer you the opportunity to learn more and apply your skills in the sport sector.

Our internships cover various areas of the organisation and are open to all students who have at least one year remaining to complete their degree, or are continuing into postgraduate study.

You’re able to choose from seven programmes across different areas, including:

Hallam Internship Scheme

The University is offering a funded internship scheme, to support Sheffield Hallam University students wanting to gain quality work experience to support employability after graduation. If you are a great sports coach (FA Level 1 football or equivalent coach / manager qualifications or sports coaching experience required) confident and out-going, great with young children, 100% reliable, a good team worker and interested in contributing to the success of an exciting children’s activity business then we would love to hear from you! You must have excellent verbal communication skills and be physically fit for this role, which involves leading the conduct of football based physical activity classes for young children.

Qualitas

Qualitas Sports Coaching is seeking to employ a number of dynamic, enthusiastic and committed sports coaches (Must have minimum NGB level 2 coaching qualification) which would initially be on a casual or part time capacity during the summer.

This would potentially lead to full time employment from September 2018.

The areas of work would be within the Chesterfield, Sheffield and around the Derbyshire & South Yorkshire area.

You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of fun based sporting activities including curricular and extra curricular sessions within the school environment, working in adherence to the company’s 5Es philosophy.
