University Football Activator Intern 

Job Description

The University Football Activator Intern role is a fantastic opportunity to develop and gain experience delivering and leading Sport Development and Coaching. The student will be part of the Sheffield Hallam University FA University Grassroots Football Hub, a lead in Sport Development and Coaching; locally, regionally and nationally. A student can expect to develop their applied learning through experience, improve knowledge and develop skills to service Male and Female Football and Futsal.

There are three potential positions available, each focusing in different areas:

  • Male Football
  • Female Football
  • Futsal (Male and Female)

To support students, student will receive:

  • Funding for Qualifications
  • Mentorship (e.g. 1 to 1 meetings)
  • Delivery observation and review
  • Access to CPD and Workshops

Community Football Activator 

Role Description

The Community Football Activator role is a fantastic opportunity with multiple posts designed to support students by deploying them into football and futsal related opportunities appropriate to a student’s interests, needs and availability. This will develop a student’s applied learning through experience, improving knowledge and developing skills to service Male and Female Football and Futsal. This role is delivered in collaboration by the FA University Grassroots Football Hub and Women’s High Performance Centre that both lead sport development nationally, regional and locally in football and futsal.

The various posts available include (unlimited post available):

  • Lead or Assistant at Grassroots Football Club (all ages male & female)
  • Lead or Assistant SSE Wildcats Coach (5-11 year old females)
  • Lead or Assistant Futsal Coach (all ages male & female)
  • Lead or Assistant Coach at Team Hallam Football Development team (18-23 year olds male & female)

Supportive Grassroots Club role as (all ages male & female)
